RedCarpet is looking for a Mainframe System Programmer (SysPro) for our large client. If this is something for you, we would love to hear from you!

As a Mainframe Systems Programmer, you will be responsible for managing, configuring and optimizing our customers' mainframe infrastructure. You will ensure that systems operate efficiently and provide the highest level of reliability and performance. Together with a team of experts, you will work on solving technical issues, perform upgrades, and ensure continuous improvement of the mainframe environment.

What will you do?

  • Manage and optimize the mainframe environment (IBM z/OS).
  • Install, configure and upgrade system software and tools.
  • Supervise implementations and migrations to newer releases.
  • Analyze and solve problems at the system level and ensure stable mainframe operations.
  • Proactively monitor performance and implement improvements.
  • Work with application developers to implement technical requirements and provide support for new releases.
  • Document configuration changes and procedures.
  • Contribute to the security and integrity of the mainframe infrastructure.
