RedCarpet is looking for a Mainframe Modernization Expert for our large client. If this is something for you, we would love to hear from you!

As a Mainframe Modernization Expert, you will play a key role in migrating and modernizing legacy mainframe systems. You will work with various teams to transform complex applications into modern environments without compromising the reliability and functionality of existing systems. You will develop strategic solutions to integrate mainframe applications with cloud, APIs and other technologies, helping organizations to operate flexibly and future-proof.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for modernizing mainframe systems.
  • Analyze existing mainframe applications and identify areas for improvement.
  • Migrate legacy applications to modern platforms (e.g., cloud-based solutions).
  • Design solutions compatible with modern technologies such as APIs, microservices and DevOps tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and minimize the impact of modernization on business processes.
  • Ensure optimal performance and scalability of modernized systems.
  • Lead technical projects and coordinate teams of developers and system administrators.
  • Advise customers on best practices and innovative technologies in mainframe modernization.
